Project Brief
An extension to a modern family home provided a garden room on the ground floor and a master bedroom with en-suite shower room on the first floor, internal conversion provided a study with natural light by way of a solar tube.
The design, draughted by the client, retained the individual features and style to ensure this large addition didn't look like a bolt on afterthought. Although of modern materials and design this large two story extension required careful pre-planning to ensure that the special order cant bricks and tiles were on site at the right time.
The roof carcass was a special order prefabricated truss design. The brick detailing of corbelled soldier course at mid level and cants to the corners of this five sided build required some careful setting out and coursing by our brick layer. The client is a Project Manager for a multi national Property Development company with a sharp eye for quality and finish, a demanding but fair task master.
